Gangsta! Gangsta! It's a Hoax!

A six-year-old boy in a homemade balloon!

What the hey?! Who has the right?! Where do they get off?!

How dare anyone pull a stunt like this. Are they really so deprived of attention that they feel a "need" to do this? What a sad commentary on society.

I guess I'm just a little upset. Can you tell? No one, and I repeat no one, has the right to rivet the attention of the nation and the world on themselves for such a stunt as this!

Those that say nothing over this event are the same ones that cry, "where's the police when you need them?!".

Well, let me tell you. Their attention is being diverted to chasing rabbits set up by people like this who have no regard for their fellow man and for the well-being of those around them. I can't even express how disgraceful this is. Do you despise your neighbor so much as this?

Again, what a sad commentary on society. We have young people dressing like Gangstas and all for what purpose?! You're trying to make people feel like they fit in?! What the hey?!

No, my friend, the purpose that you are serving is to allow those that should be receiving correctional intervention to blend in. You're endangering the lives of others around you by making it much more difficult for those that can administer correctional intervention to reach those that are not safe in their intentions, thought processes, and mindsets and to administer appropriate intervention. When we all blend in, we all become suspect and no one who needs appropriate intervention will be reached. They can't be! You're making it impossible to distinguish inappropriate thought processes and intentions by allowing them to blend in. I despise the fact that you dress like a gangsta when one, you don't know what the heck you're doing and two, you're endangering all of us.

Get serious!

Telling the world that your six-year-old boy is in a homemade balloon flying around by himself?! Hopefully, you will now be getting the psychiatric help that you need and your children will be placed in a much safer environment. Anyone that would use their six-year-old boy in a stunt like this doesn't deserve their own children.

Yes, I'm just a little upset. You divert the attention of authorities, costing taxpayers millions of dollars. To me, that's almost the least of the offense. The greater offense is that you expressed an udder disregard of your neighbors and society, in general, since this was a national and even international news event.

Our lives, thank you very much, have enough to deal with as it is. Real tragedies are what suffer at your psychotic expense. When someone has a child who is really in danger, who do you think suffers? Do you have no regard for them? Do you have no sense of reality? If this was for a "reality show", then you've all missed the boat. Reality is that people suffer on a daily basis. Reality is that children are endangered on a daily basis in real ways, not concocted ways.

Have you no honor? Have you no decency or dignity?

I pity the likes of someone like you.

It's the economy, stupid!

The common theme for Democrats is that they are going to raise taxes.

It's common knowledge that raising taxes will hurt the economy.

It's common sense that Democrats will hurt the economy by raising taxes.

It's common thought that Democrats have better record on the economy.

Is this what we get for thinking?

Fair Game?

The question of Obama's associations is a question about fairness? I don't know why we aren't demanding to know records of phone conversations, e-mail's, and face-to-face meetings with William Ayers and other questionable figures. Fair game? Ridiculous!

In contrast, why aren't we examining what McCain did in his youthfulness? Oh, that's right! McCain chose to associate with fellow prisoners of war rather than accept release from a torturous prisoner of war camp.

That's why there's argument as to whether this is fair game. Obama knows that his opponent chose to do what was honorable in his youthfulness while Obama was making associations with a known terrorist, likely getting high together. Of course it's not fair. It's just not fair!

Rush, Sean, Laura, and Ann flagrantly misled their listeners

I'm not quite this bold, but, I'm glad someone could state it so bluntly.  The following is an article by Gregg Jackson- Tuesday Feb. 19, 2008.

What was that about "homework", Ann?

So what does all this have to do with McCain, you ask?

Simple. The conservative talkers and pundits like Rush, Sean, Laura, and Ann flagrantly misled their listeners and readers by falsely portraying Romney as a conservative. Many who would likely have voted for Huckabee cast their ballot for Romney-- the guy who Rush, Sean, Laura, and Ann maintained was the true conservative that would unite "all three legs" of the Reagan Coalition.

And they weren't alone. Pseudo-conservative mercenaries like lawyers Jay Sekulow, Jim Bopp, David French, Hugh Hewitt, teamed with the now-discredited Richard Land, Gary Bauer, and Tony Perkins in deceiving their "flocks" by whitewashing Romney as an authentic social conservative whom pro-family "values voters" could support.

Had these talkers, pundits, and conservative "leaders" told the truth about Romney's $50 subsidized abortions, failing government run healthcare plan, $700 million in tax increases, increased funding for homosexual indoctrination starting in kindergarten, illegal institution of same sex marriage by misrepresenting the Goodridge court opinion and lying about the Massachusetts Constitution, support for homosexual Scout Masters etc… voters interested in supporting a true conservative would have likely gravitated toward Governor Huckabee far sooner and in huge numbers. But that couldn't be allowed to happen. The social conservative voters are the field slaves in this party, not the decision-makers.

Romney's limousine-chasing lawyers and rent-a-pundits savaged Huckabee with gross misrepresentations of his record and sabotaged conservatives' chance to deny John McCain the nomination. Instead of having the author of McCain-Feingold, McCain-Kennedy, and McCain-Lieberman as our nominee, we could have had the most authentic across-the-board conservative candidate currently in the race (Huckabee) -- the only candidate who supports a Human Life Amendment and a Federal Marriage Amendment, who is credibly and unapologetically pro-second Amendment, in favor of securing our border and building the fence (he has been endorsed by Duncan Hunter), and who has proposed the most aggressive fiscal tax policy of any candidate -- the Fair Tax, which would abolish the IRS and federal income tax.

These are not what honest people smear as "Jimmy Carter positions." Yet that's who the radio talkers and pundits keep telling us Huckabee is. The truth was that their boy Mitt Romney is the GOP's closest counterpart to the Democrats' soulless Rorschach test, Barak Obama, a truly dangerous demagogue.

So, please, enough with the McCain-bashing, Rush, Sean, Laura, and Ann. We could have had an authentic conservative Mike Huckabee as our nominee. Had you and your fellow travelers not waterboarded conservative voters for about a year with falsehoods, Huckabee would have united the base (you know those 40 million conservative Christians who put Republicans in the White House election after election). Do you think thinking conservatives are any more happy than you are with McCain as the Republican nominee? Not on your life. But the difference between you and us is, this is your fault. by-Gregg Jackson- Tuesday Feb. 19, 2008

Fox's Rove/Hume McCainocrats

"The McCainocrats crossed over 2 to 1 for John McCain", Karl Rove gleefully exclaimed in an interview with Brit Hume on Fox's Super Tuesday 2 evening coverage. How wonderful, he thinks, that Democrats left their polling duties to destroy the Republican Party's 2008 election chances. Where has Fox News gotten so off-track?

Rove actually made this statement with the assumption that these McCainocrats will become DemoGOP's in November!

Again, where has Fox News gotten so off-track?

Is there anyone in the general , non elite, non media, regular folk, ignorant, backward, hillbilly (ha ha! Did you catch that? Hillbilly!) population that thinks that the Democrats are not so enthralled by their own choices that they would not defect in the primary to destroy the Republican Party's 2008 election chances?

Yes, I'm sorry to be the one to break it to you Rove/Hume, but, those McCainocrats will not become DemoGOP's in November! They were simply playing into your hand, after you refused to see what so many of us have been trying to tell you.

Democrats were afraid of the one who won out over the Clintons multiple times in a strongly Democratic Arkansas!

Yes, Karl Rove gleefully exclaims, "The McCainocrats crossed over 2 to 1 for John McCain!".

What a victory!

And, yes, I'm finding it quite relaxing to have no tv on.

My guy can handle it.

You see, it's not about hating the Democrats.

It's about a love for our country.

It's hard to find an article where people are actually reading and commenting here at TownHall, any more.  Therefore, I will try to get the word out with several postings.

You have been duped by media, both liberal and conservative, about McCain.  Therefore, you don't have the whole story about Mike Huckabee, either.  Here's something you might not have known.

My guy can handle it.

You see, it's not about hating the Democrats.

It's about a love for our country.

I don't choose to vote Obama because I'm anti McCain.  I choose to vote Mike Huckabee because I'm pro-America.

I see better days for America with Huckabee, not the avoidance of a lesser evil with McCain.

I see someone who really comes from Hope, again, with Mike Huckabee.  Someone who will make America a better place.  Maybe even someone who will make Americans a better people.

I really have Hope with Mike Huckabee, again.

What's Right With Hope

What's Right With Hope

Hope and happiness seem to be on Huckabee's side. Haven't you noticed? Huckabee's people are happy. They're hopeful people. What could be better for America than to let the world see that Americans are happy, hopeful people?

Could I stretch you, just a bit? The best thing for our National Security is for the world to get a picture of Americans as happy and hopeful. Once again, a people of courage, confidence, and a clear moral compass.

Pretty simple solution, huh? Pretty huge ramifications, huh?

To matters of practicality.

Huckabee has begun a dialogue with many foreign leaders, having visited 40 countries in the past. Don't you know that his infectious personality has already influenced leaders on America's behalf?

The fact that Mike Huckabee has been able to visit over 40 countries, even prior to his bid for Presidency, speaks well of Mike. He is a hard-working, ambitious man who is willing to use his skills as a great communicator to influence the world for the good of America.

The media has been proposing that one reason for Mike to stay in the Presidential race is that he is having the time of his life. May I propose to you that the reason for Mike to stay in the Presidential race goes much deeper. As it is evident that he has a record of being a hard-working man, he's continuing to work hard to become America's next President because he cares deeply about the future of our Nation. This Presidential bid is not a walk in the park for Mike. Obviously! It's an uphill battle and only someone with Huckabee's courage would be strong enough for this climb.

Huckabee's courage will take America to its greatest height! It has emboldened those who have previously felt that they didn't have a voice. It has silenced those who promote the downfall of America.

Huckabee is not a populist; he's just plain popular with all spectrums of our diverse social stratosphere. It's not his money that has gained him popularity. It is not just with a segment of evangelical Christians that Huckabee gains popularity. Those votes are not all coming from folks who say "Yes, Brother"! Votes are coming from all stratospheres of American life. America can't be characterized as the evangelical South and the liberal North. What a disservice to our Country to say that we are thus divided.

We are united. We declare it in our Constitution as we pursue life, liberty and happiness. It's not just the South that is hopeful; America is hopeful.

Yes, hope and happiness truly are popular! This may be one of the Reagan keys to success that has yet been untapped. We all know that Reagan's Presidency was no walk in the park, either. However, to have seen his face, his positive attitude, his determination, one would not know the struggles, stresses, and pain that he felt. No, we remember a hopeful and happy man who took on the world.

Today, more than ever, we need a hopeful and happy leader. More will get done for the cause of America because more will want to work for the good of America.

The only man who really is from Hope is Mike Huckabee!

Since I'm not babysitting

Townhall, I'm doing my best to save you from yourself. You choose to air Ann Coulters repugnant words rather than Mike Huckabee's respectful speech. He has a chance at making a difference in this world.

Since I'm not babysitting the constituency of TownHall, I will let you hear Mike Huckabee's CPAC speech. Be forewarned, it will get your Republican allegiance (you remember, that part of your personality that's gotten buried by the "conservative" media) to stand up. Tell me if you don't agree!

Romney's bloviating, O'Reilly, send the political police.

Two days ago, when it was supposedly going to benefit Romney's campaign, the most important political issue was the economy.  This was going to boost Romney's image in the eyes of the voting public.  Today, again, in an effort to boost Romney's image, the most critical issue is the war.  Very telling.

The voting public is, once again, assumed to be ignorant.  Romney's use of the war on terror equates to a dishonorable discharge for Mitt Romney.  I think he should apologize to every soldier and veteran whose honor he subverted by manipulating their fight and their courage.  The use of the war on terror to bow out of his losing campaign is disgraceful, dishonorable, and decisively manipulative of those who have waged true courage in this war, both physically and politically.

The man I support is more honorable than I in his eloquent response to every shadow that his opponents have tried to cast upon him (including his opponents in the visual and audio media).  Mike has never wavered on the issues of concern to conservatives.  He's always been 100% pro life, pro-family, pro America.  He would not use a failing campaign to subvert the honor of true soldiers in the war on terror.

My apologies to Mike Huckabee, who, as I support him may feel embarrassed by my public disdain of Romney's public display.  Mike Huckabee would never call out Romney's behavior.

That's only part of why I support Mike Huck-can-bee a great President.

the look of leadership

I find this interesting, as I observe the supporters of the three top GOP presidential candidates.  McCain's supporters are busy, but, don't know exactly what to do.  Romney's supporters are doing nothing.  Just relying on his millions.  Huckabee's supporters are busy, involved, and have clear marching orders.

Wonder what that says about leadership?

The Most Real Issue in Life

Letter to the Editor

Much commotion, emotion, and devotion surrounds the notion of today's political landscape. Everyone is politically involved in one form or another. Whether it is die hard commitment to a candidate, or simply trying to help choose theme songs for the various candidates, people are politically involved. For many reasons, the stakes are high and so are the emotions.

Do we dare to say it out loud? The future of our nation depends on this next presidential election.

That's pretty serious. It's meant to be sobering. It's meant to be challenging (and possibly strengthening) to each of our heartfelt beliefs.

It's in the foreground, but, oppression forces us to keep it in the background.

Neither side can state that the sanctity of life (or lack thereof) presses most eminently at the heart of our politics. It's most certainly a large part of why we put a D or an R beside our names. Neither side can state this.

Shame covers both sides. On the one hand, the R candidates feel that they've not done enough to preserve the sanctity of life. On the other hand, the D candidates are experiencing shame of seeing a policy gone too far as in the case of Tiller of Kansas.

The fact is, this is an issue of life and death. It does not require affiliation with a particular political party. It simply requires affiliation with the human condition. I hereby invite candidates of both parties to align with the things that promote the general welfare of our nation. Abortion does not promote the general welfare of our nation. It certainly does not promote the general welfare of women and children.

Where has this twisted debate gotten so far out of line? A woman's welfare is deeply compromised by abortion. Playing God benefits no one. Our general confidence has been maligned by this lack of trust that all things work together for good. Unfortunately, it's skewed with a disproportionately high rate of abortion amongst lower income individuals. Thus, those who need greater confidence to carry out the difficult work are experiencing less confidence in themselves and in a public stratosphere that no longer builds them up.

We do not have the right to silence the voice of the unborn child.

What about the voice of the woman's right to choose? You may ask. Women and men both have burdens in this earthly existence. Being with child is not a burden above all other burdens, such that demands legal intervention to alleviate this burden. No man, woman, or child has a right to call the shots in their own lives, if truth be told. We all give account somewhere. That's why there are laws and limits.

May I suggest that, though I've never had an abortion, I feel that I, as an individual, and we, as a nation have been stolen from because of abortion. This throwaway syndrome has affected us all. There is not value in human existence. We all suffer from this throwaway syndrome.

We do not have the right to silence the voice of the unborn child.

Some candidates wish to silence this voice. In today's political landscape, most of the Democratic voices choose their own voice above that of the unborn child. Some Republican candidates have wavered on this issue. I considered this an insult to the voice of the unborn child. My fellow political observer, if you waver on this issue, you demonstrate a lack of judgment that I deem most important in leadership.

Well, the unborn child may be finding a voice. Yes, several Democratic players are going to find that the unborn child cannot be silenced. The numbers have been diminished because of those who've been aborted. May this day be the day when several Democratic players find that, though those who've been aborted may not vote as many would be of age to do so, today, the numbers are not diminished.

It is time to fight. I'm voting for one who has not wavered, whose character has stood firm on this issue, and who, by his steadfastness in this issue and others has shown leadership.

I like Mike! I love what he stands for!

Fox News, I declare you the winner!

One respondent in particular really upset me.

No, I'm not talking of the one who gave a vulgar response and hung up...

You know, I decided to put my money where my mouth is, roll up my sleeves, and make some phone calls for Mike Huckabee. (I know, there's a lot more "real" work to be done.)

One respondent in particular really upset me.

No, I'm not talking of the one who gave a vulgar response and hung up. I'm not even talking of the ones who indicated that they were voting for other candidates because of certain stances on issues. No, it's not those.

I'm talking of the one who said that he would not vote for Huckabee, though he agreed with him on almost all of the issues, because Fox News had taught him that Huckabee can never win. His reason for not voting for Huckabee in the primary was that he was very informed (being an exclusive Fox News faithful watcher and not for the"liberal" media) and that he could see from Fox News that Huckabee would never win.

Fox News, I declare you the winner!

You have garnered a gathering of people who believe in every word you say over what they feel in their own hearts. You have become like a god to them. All 10 of you! Your influence is so esteemed among this gathering of people, that they're not free to uphold their own convictions.

I hope this blog report is a warning! You do not have the right to force your opinions and views upon the "simple" public. Your role is much smaller than you seem to think, it appears. May I please remind you that in journalism schools it is taught to the democratic and republican students alike:

You report. We decide!
