Did you notice it? An all day Romney commercial on Fox News. Since TownHall has now connected with Fox News, apparently Fox has to adopt Hewitt's Romney endorsement.
I really thought it was very untactful and actually quite deprecating for Fox to take this stance. Once again, Fox is playing with the voters. And they are playing with the future of America. My future.
I believe that Fox has been misguided, just as TownHall's Hugh Hewitt has been. No, you don't know me and you don't know my face. Therefore, I can speak somewhat boldly without fear of reprehension (except a few words). I'm a pretty good read on things that sometimes people don't see. Point in case, the attempts to increase Romney support with the Fox News angles, yesterday. I will try to express those things, openly, and with a great deal of respect.
First of all, I do have a great deal of respect for the Fox News Channel and the way that they have stood for convictions that go against the mainstream media. I appreciate what I see in the heart of many of the news anchors and that they do not waffle like many in the mainstream media. That being said, there are misguided assumptions about "A Mormon in the White House".
When you have to candy coat someone's background and positions, you have to realize that the candy coating melts away. People are not unintelligent and can come to discover the truth about all of the candidates. Swallowing the Mormon belief system is pretty hard for me. Supporting someone who gives allegiance to this belief system will be hard for many. A person's core beliefs shape everything in their lives.
Perhaps this is what has made it difficult for Romney, himself, to adhere to basic convictions. When your core beliefs are difficult to hold onto, so are your convictions.
The American voter understands this. I believe that Republicans understand this most effectively because of their stance on abortion and homosexuality. The Democratic voter does not see conviction in the same light because a true belief system has regard for the well-being of others. Promoting abortion and homosexuality does not have regard for those entangled in these vicious cycles.
The truth will come out. It will come out in very broad daylight before the elections. What someone believes plays a huge role in their attractiveness to the voter public. It may not be popular to admit that, but, it's true. A great deal of embarrassment lies ahead for Romney and his Mormon friends and family. I do not wish this on Romney or any Mormon friends. They have a great deal of family loyalty which is to be commended. In a very unusual way, this characteristic is something that I think could be a negative when it comes to a Presidential candidate. Let me try to explain. . .
I admit, before I go any further, that I lean very strongly towards Mike Huckabee. I believe that he will surround himself with solid, upstanding people who will advise him towards greatest success for America. Experience, a presidential statesmanship look, and a massive bank account is not what I'm voting for. I'm voting for someone with strong core beliefs who has not waffled on the issues of abortion, for example, and who will surround himself with equally strong and stronger individuals. Sure, take Chuck Norris for an example. In a play on words, he's stronger than Mike Huckabee. If Huckabee has gotten to the tremendous places that he has on his own credentials, charisma, wit, and other presidential qualities, imagine him surrounded by many more solid, upstanding people who will advise him towards greatest success for America. I see Huckabee as someone who will listen to his advisers, not to mention, that he will listen to the counsel of the Bible. Yes, I believe that is pertinent for today. Yes, I believe that is of vital for today.
Romney's support group is a bit of a mystery, as are many things within the Mormon religion. Who will he surround himself with? Family loyalty can be a very commendable characteristic, however, those who are worthy of his attention may give advice on the premise of what will promote their own agendas. This kind of family loyalty is counterproductive to the greater success for America.
After Fox News day long Romney commercial, Romney has gained some support in New Hampshire. How strong Fox News angle has been and how effective.
However, are you really going to be able to keep this up, Fox and TownHall? You may be shooting the Republican Party in the foot. An immense amount of time and energy has been spent on your parts to promote Romney, but, I believe that the effect will fall flat in the end. The voter public can't stretch itself that far, in the long run.
It's very hard to detect this, but, one characteristic of the heart of the Christian is that they are somewhat modest and perhaps soft-spoken. (Unlike me in this piece, gulp!) This would lead one to believe that their numbers are small and their heart attitudes are insignificant. This would be a huge mistake in judgment. They are much more significant in numbers (and heart attitude) than what you see on the surface.
My apologies for my directness. I only had about 30 minutes to compile this information, this evening. I wish to not be offensive in any way. But I do wish to be straightforward in every way. Thank you for your time and your gentle consideration of these words.
